It takes a village to save giraffe!
There are only 600 West African giraffe remaining in the wild and all of them live just 60 km south-east of Niger’s capital Niamey.
Together with the Niger Government and other partners we have successfully undertaken the first-ever translocation of the threatened West African giraffe to create a satellite population.
But this is just the start.
We need YOUR HELP to ensure a future for this unique giraffe population!
As one of the most impoverished countries in Africa, the Niger Government has shown amazing foresight in finding strong partners to help them secure a future for their threatened giraffe.
