Give to GCF

For every four elephant, only one giraffe remains in the wild in Africa.

That’s a drop of nearly 30% over the last three decades. In the BBC documentary “Giraffes: Africa’s Gentle Giants” — featuring GCF’s important work in Africa — Sir David Attenborough referred to this decline as a “Silent Extinction.” These alarming numbers serve as a reminder that we need to protect giraffe now before it is too late.

The Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) is the only NGO in the world that concentrates solely on the conservation and management of giraffe in the wild throughout Africa. We are dedicated to securing a future for all giraffe populations in the wild.

Your help supports our work with local and international partners, affecting over 100 million acres of giraffe habitat.

Support Giraffe in the Wild with a Giraffe Adoption

Adopting a giraffe today can help us save giraffe in Africa tomorrow.

GCF’s Adopt-a-Giraffe Programme helps protect these iconic animals in the wild and works toward the conservation of all four giraffe species in Africa.

Follow the lives of our selected desert-dwelling giraffe in Namibia’s remote Northwest and next to the iconic Etosha National Park, with the only official giraffe adoption from the world’s premiere giraffe conservation organisation.

Programme membership fees are billed as donations and, as such, are tax-deductible as allowed by US law.

Join us in the fight to help all giraffe populations in Africa remain wild and free!

How will you make a difference?
