Namibia is considered a giraffe conservation success story!

Due to collaborative conservation efforts of the Namibian government, private land owners and local communities, giraffe are thriving in the country.

Our detailed assessment of giraffe numbers and their distribution has shown that there are approx. 12,000 Angolan giraffe as well as 100 South African giraffe in Namibia. Giraffe are widely distributed throughout the country and occur on private and communal land as well as in national parks.
